FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What makes Twyning Park different?
Twyning Park is primarily our family home and we adore living here. We want to offer you the use of our special space exclusively. From the moment you first come to visit, creating your perfect day here will be our priority. We also want to maintain exclusivity and creativity for our couples. We only hold a very small number of events here per year. This allows us to focus on the individuality of each couple and provide them with a professional service in a home from home environment.

Can we hold a civil ceremony?
Yes, we are a licensed wedding venue and have three rooms available for a civil ceremony; the drawing room is licensed for 37, the hall for 27 and the long room is licensed for 62. We also have 5 beautiful outdoor ceremony areas within the grounds and next to the river for up to 200 guests.

What is available?
Exclusive hire of the grounds, reception rooms and up to 7 bedrooms. Dry hire or all inclusive hire and everything in between.
We normally recommend hire for a three day period. This means your suppliers can set up the day before your wedding – essential particularly for outdoor weddings. This also enables plenty of time to perfect that all important styling and decorating. Allows you to stay over, the night before so you are relaxed and refreshed ready to enjoy the big day. The third days hire allows your suppliers to collect everything without a rush or panic and allows the opportunity for a post party gathering. Bacon sandwiches and freshly ground coffee on the terrace is always a favourite. We are also happy to accommodate shorter hire periods with or without accomodation. You can also just use the grounds or the main house for smaller celebrations. We can also provide ceremony only and intimate wedding and elopement packages.

Do we have to use your preferred suppliers?
We work with some amazing suppliers who know the house and the set up here very well and we can’t fault the team we have created. Many of whom supplied our own wedding. We can happily recommend caterers, marquees, florists, photographers, stylists and wedding planners, cake suppliers and many more. However you are also free to source your own suppliers. We do ask to be informed of all suppliers 4 weeks prior to the wedding so we know who to expect. If you are not using our approved wedding planner or coordinator we must also be given a detailed plan of the day and planned set up 2 weeks before.

Do you charge corkage?
Absolutely not.

Do you charge VAT?
No.

Can we use fireworks?
Yes fireworks are permitted providing they are carried out by a professional company. We will need notice in advance if you would like fireworks and proof of the companies insurance.
Are you a family friendly venue?
Absolutely. Including children in your wedding day is completely a personal choice. If you decide to include the little ones we have travel cots and extra beds available. We can recommend local qualified babysitters and nannies who have worked here before and with our own children.
Are you open to ideas that might be a little different?
We welcome creativity and understand the importance of making your own mark on your day. We will always support our couple’s ideas and will try our best to make these things happen. We have a lot of experience with “something a little bit different” including arriving by boat, a surprise wedding and a cow as the guest of honour!
